HISD Online Resources are Available
to Carnegie Students and Parents

The HISD online resources are available on the Carnegie Vanguard website. These are for all students of any grade level to use for assignments and research.

To use the resources:

Go to Thomson/Gale
Pick Carnegie Vanguard from the school list. They track our usage.
Our own ebook collection is located at Gale Virtual Reference Library
These are available 24/7 and can be accessed by multiple users at one time
We were the first school in HISD to have an ebook collection. These titles were picked out by the faculty and staff to support the Carnegie curriculum. The PTO recently added additional titles in the Novels for Students series, Elizabethan World, and Ancient Greece and Rome to our collection. Additional databases are available for a variety of subjects. Any databases supported by TexShare are in danger of being eliminated during budget cutting efforts.
