The Junior Classical League is a week from our Student Music Showcase, an all-ages fundraiser at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar, 1031 East 24th Street in the Heights, on Sunday, April 19. Check out our flyer on their website at http://danelectrosguitarbar.com. Our wish list for the 4/19 fundraiser runs from food [burgers, dogs & condiments, and baked goods] to silent auction and/or raffle items. We will need a half-dozen adults on site from 2pm to 10pm, with everyone off site by that time. It's all in the good cause of making National JCL possible for those who are able to schedule it. I remain firmly convinced that the JCL experience causes students to measurably mature before my very eyes. Parents are welcome to join the CarnegieJCL Yahoo Group, where the Files area has NJCL documents and various donation and volunteer forms. As always, I thank you for allowing me the privilege of having your children as my students [and spending 18+ hours a day awake with them at NJCL, grin]. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your suggestions and questions at 713-398-5541 or kyradebbie@yahoo.com.
