About the CVHS PTO

The Carnegie Vanguard High School Parent Teacher Organization is an organized group of adults whose membership goal is to support the students at Carnegie Vanguard High School. We are an independent organization and are not affiliated with the National Organization known as the PTA.

The purpose of our organization is to promote and provide social and cultural opportunities for Vanguard students, to improve the school environment, and to foster further development of the Vanguard program and other gifted and talented programs both within and outside HISD.

Our organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code, and is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

All contributions made to the CVHS Parent Teacher Organization are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
