Carnegie Vanguard High School’s policy regarding Senate Bill 2033:

"Allow a student a reasonable opportunity to retake or redo a class assignment or examination for which the student received a failing grade."

• The starting value of a retake is 70 not 100.  Incorrect answers will be deducted from 70.
• Only one retake allowed.
• The highest grade between the original and the retake is counted.
• The student, not the parent, must request retake in writing (no emails or faxes) within 24hrs from the moment the original grade is received.
• Retake window determined by teacher, not to exceed 7 calendar days.
• Missing assignments fall under teacher’s late policy not campus retake policy.
