All incoming freshmen! Make plans now to attend
Carnegie's Annual Fish Camp.

If you are an incoming freshman, you don't want to miss out on this year's Fish Camp, to be held Thursday August 23 - Saturday Aug 25. This is a great opportunity for incoming students to meet their fellow classmates and be ready to start learning Monday August 27th without wondering who is sitting next to you. Letters are being sent out, and all incoming freshmen should also be contacted by an upperclassman-camp counselor. The long-time faculty sponsor for Fish Camp is teacher Charles Swenson whose email contact is cswenson@houstonisd.org. More information will be available at the June 23rd Ice Cream Social and is also being mailed to all new families.

Here are the highlights:

  • Cost is $100.00
  • Cut off date for registration is Tuesday August 14
  • For any parent who wants to go, the cost is $65.00
  • Bring several changes of clothing (Mr. Swenson recommends a pair of shorts and t-shirt for each morning and afternoon)
  • Bring swim suit
  • Flashlight is optional
  • No cell phones or ipods are to be used during the time at camp
  • All HISD Code of Conduct rules are in force as it is a school function
