How to Apply to Carnegie Vanguard High School

Interested parents and students are invited to submit an application for admission to Carnegie Vanguard High School. A completed application along with all supporting documents must be submitted to the school office by the official HISD deadline (listed below), or go to the Magnet Information  page for the complete list of important dates for the Magnet Application process.

Or you can visit the Gifted and Talented Department on the HISD website.  You will find helpful information for the application process and links to other programs geared especially to students identified as “Gifted and Talented.”

Please complete a Carnegie Vanguard High School Application only. Our school does not accept the Magnet Application, as Vanguard has different criteria.
