On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Carnegie Vanguard High School for the 2008-2009 school year.  We are looking forward to assisting our students in fulfilling their educational goals.  Carnegie has a history of fine academic and extracurricular accomplishments.  We expect our students to meet the goals which have been set, to carry on the tradition, and to make this a better place.  Students can benefit from everything Carnegie Vanguard High School has to offer by being actively involved in classes and the programs offered.  If one encounters difficulties, seek the assistance of any of our faculty or staff and we will do our best to help you.  We are here to make your years in school as successful, yet educationally challenging, as possible.  We welcome the opportunity to help you as you proceed through your high school career.
 
We also encourage parents of our students to remain actively involved in our students' education.  Please continue to communicate with our faculty, staff, and administration regarding the needs of our students and the school.  Various volunteer opportunities are available, and we appreciate all the effort and assistance of our parents and Parent Teacher Organization.  As the African proverb says, "It takes an entire village to raise a child."  We at Carnegie Vanguard High School are thrilled that our parents take such interest as keystakeholders in the future of our children.  Together, we are making a positive difference.
